Biography of Edmond Delorme

Edmond Delorme studied at the Ecole de Médecine in Strasbourg. He entered service at the Val-de-Grâce in 1866 and became doctor of medicine in 1871. He became agrégé at the Val-de-Grâce in 1877, in 1887 professor of clinical surgery. An accomplished surgeon, he distinguished himself in particular in the fields of surgery of the lungs and of the nerves, and became a well-known military surgeon. He acquired the rank of Médecin Général Inspecteur and became a member of the Académie de Médecine.
